1. What two suggestions from the readings about how to use PowerPoint effectively do you think are the most important to remember? Why?
The most important suggestions from the reading about how to use PowerPoint effectively are limiting amount of text on a slide and to make it interactive. By limiting the amount of text on a slide, the audience will be more inclined to want to interact with the presentation because it is less patronizing and easier to look at.
2. What is one thing you learned about PowerPoint that you didn’t previously know?
One thing I had learned about PowerPoint was that it was created in 1984 and previously known as ‘Presenter’.
3. Have you ever used PowerPoint to present and what was your experience like? Did you follow the rules to presenting with PowerPoint or not?
Throughout high school, I had various presentations I needed to give and I mostly followed the ‘rules’ to presenting it. Because of the program I was in during high school had been highly professional, if students had put more the six lines of six word phrases on the presentation, we would loose majority of the points for the assignment.
4. How was your experience creating your Museum Kiosk on Google Slides?
Creating a Museum Kiosk on Google Slides was of the same process as a PowerPoint, but the individual is allowed to add large amounts of text, as the audience is the Internet and the presentation is virtual.
